Danilara was founded by Dani Tucker, a designer of impressive credentials, training and experience. Dani obtained an undergraduate degree in Fashion Design Technology at the London College of Fashion, finishing top of her class. She furthered her studies at Ecole Lesage Paris in Haute Couture Hand Embroidery.

Before, during and after her formal education, Dani assisted some of the world’s most respected designers in fields as diverse as window display, hand sewing, beading, jewellery, embroidery and accessories. She has won numerous awards and designed for famous brands in the United Kingdom and United States.

But these qualifications and accolades are far less central to Danilara’s ethos than the values that it is founded upon: imagination and creativity, care and quality, a love of the art and passion for the craft of design, a respect for tradition and an embrace of the personal.

Danilara designs are like the most special recipes: deeply and intimately rooted in family history, in that which is learned and passed down through generations. This is a richly woven tapestry, which speaks not only of inherent skill, but of a genuine enjoyment of the process of creating and “making”, and an appreciation of the final product. Equally, and importantly, it encourages freedom: there is space to explore and play, to interpret and reinvent. After all, it is here that the most fundamental ingredients of design – imagination and creativity – are nurtured.
